Bill Gates Predicts Three Careers Safe from AI
Bill Gates told The Indian Express that AI’s growing capacities will leave certain careers safe from replacement, naming biologists, energy experts, and programmers as particularly resilient. He argued that biologists’ creativity in forming hypotheses, energy specialists’ ability to manage complex and unpredictable demands, and programmers’ skills in crafting and debugging sophisticated software exceed AI’s current capabilities. In a conversation with Jimmy Fallon, Gates also suggested that athletes’ performances in sports like baseball will remain a uniquely human domain. He emphasized that while AI will solve many tasks in manufacturing, logistics, and agriculture, human ingenuity will continue to drive critical discoveries and decision-making.
